West Desert Airpark is a grass-roots aviation community where light aircraft are the majority, not the minority. This is a place to foster the passion for aviation.
It all started in 2002 when Mark Pringle and the original founders, Dick Burton, Dave Pringle and Verl Hebertson who have since passed, broke ground on the airpark. They started as an ultralight facility with six hangars and a grass runway. Wow how times have changed!
We have grown to a thriving, bustling airpark open to the public with 27 hangars, repair facilities, a successful flight school and over 40 based aircraft and room for growth.
